Server Upgrades
Finally decided to discard my massive uptime and do some upgrades to the ol’ rusty Linux server. The hard drive has been upgraded to a 4 GB and the memory has been upped to 32 MB. Wow!

Web Standards, it’s a Good Thing
It was high time for a change. I’ve completely redesigned a new look for this site. This time I used entirely strict XHTML and CSS making the site quite backwards compatible with older text browsers, very rich yet clean with newer fifth generation browsers, and above all very light weight. I still have much tweaking

Hosting my very own DNS
After some playing around with BIND Incoherency.Net is now hosting its own DNS services. Not only is this sexier, but so far it appears to be faster. Later, when I’m feeling ambitious I’ll replace this stinky old hardware with my shiny new OpenBSD server.

24 MB of RAM just isn’t Enough
I guess I shouldn’t have picked at it. Incoherency.Net has now had its first non-connection related down-time after 72 days of straight uptime. Somehow I caused a server process to keep spawning. I was unable to stop it as it ate up all my available memory to the point that I could not log in.

Woes of a Dynamic IP
Telus changed my IP address again. Real pain! Every time that happens I’ve got to wait a lousy 24 hours or so before all the DNS records are updated… Life is hard when you have a dynamic IP!
